Art Exhibit: Thalam – Tales of Tradition

Times are changing and technology is advancing but timeless traditions continue to keep us alive. Sindoor, haldi, chandan, flowers, herbs bring a glow to every woman and goddess and these rituals bind us through eons of culture over the ages. Symbols, mudras of dance, musical notes and ragas all form part of this divine dance within these amazing customs.

Through the play of bold, bright and symbolic colours Anu Vittal’s abstract expressionist paintings bring to life these golden traditions across civilizations. Whilst Vishal Misra’s figurative abstracts interplay the tales of these traditions in the depictions of Durga, Kali, Radha, Krishna and Ganesha paintings.
